Teaching procedure:

1.Enjoy a song

T: First let’s enjoy a snatch of a song. What is the song about?

Ss:Animals.

T: Do you like animals?What can they do? Can you act?

Ss: I like ... They can ...

T: Yes. You do a good job.

 

2.Let’s review

T: Animals are our friends. Our old friends have their animal friends too. Do you remember? Let’s review.

S: Mike has ...It has ... It can ...

 

3.Guess my animal friend

T: Today, I have an animal friend too. Do you want to know what is it? Let’s guess.

S: Does it have ...?

T: Let’s have a look. My animal friend is a kangaroo.

 

4.Describe the kangaroo

T: Look at the kangaroo. Can you describe it?

S: It is... It has ... It can...

T: I like these two sentences. Do you know why?

S: They use conjunctions.

T: Yes, can you use some conjunctions in these sentences?
